The Bible says no such thing.

Paul is speaking to the church specifically when he says that women are not to be teachers in authority over men in the church.

Neither Paul nor Jesus makes any mention of women in secular life.

None.

OTOH, we have Queen Esther, Moses’s sister Miriam, the Proverbs 31 woman, Lydia, the seller of fine purple, just to name a few strong businesswomen and leaders, whose stories are told in the Bible.

Per chance, are you a Rick Santorum or Mike Huckabee supporter?

I'm not talking about what Paul said about women in the church. I know he's talking about women in the church.

Queen Esther was not the king, but that's beside the point. Throughout the Bible (and throughout human history), MEN are the leaders, in general, and for good reason. God designed men and women quite differently. He designed men to be the leaders. This is just the way it is, and what I've said is simply my agreement that men are natural leaders--in general--not women, NOT that there have never been exceptions. I don't want a woman president! What's the big deal with my saying that?!

NO, I don't support the shyster Huckabee, and don't care either way about Santorum.

And, PS:

The Proverbs 31 woman's husband was the leader. I'm not implying that women don't do business, buy property and take care of their households, as she did. You should not over-think and misunderstand what I'm saying here.
