Today, warming-up is a counterproductive exercise that wastes fuel, harms the environment and damages your car. I quit there, at "harms the environment."
I warm up my truck so it's not so cold when I get in it and to defrost the windows. The libs can piss off.

I warm my truck off before I go, and then I let it idle all day... usually minimum 12 hours.
I’m just doing my part to ensure we all don’t freeze to death.
