Exactly - get the interior habitable before driving it - my wife also turns on her heated seat. The problem is that many newer cars run lean enough when cold that they don’t warm up so good when idling.

I used to have a 6.9 International diesel in a Ford truck that sounded like the pistons were swapping holes when I cold started it!
I had to let it warm up some.
The Cummins seem a lot happier cold starting.
