Similarly, Obama went Islam, to Christian, then back to Islam.

Catholics seem to vote more for liberalism than for someone being Catholic, for instance while Clinton and Gore and Obama won the Catholic voters, John Kerry narrowly lost them in 2004.

While Kerry was more liberal than George W. his incumbency in time of war seemed to overcome what might have been Kerry’s advantage gained in being Catholic.

I would rather lose an election than adhere to non-Biblical doctrines!

Unless some overt effort was made4 to garner a specific vote, I don't put a whole lot on religios decisions by a politician ... especially THESE days

The state and health of America is such that, you can't go too far without someone reminding us about our Judeo-Christian roots ... which in time past may have been academic

I think today people are looking at religion and spiritual matters in a more serious way and are deciding their beliefs with more maturity

Jeb IS married to a woman of primarily strong Catholic background

Interesting because I don’t think a Catholic has ever been nominated for President by the GOP.

Maher might be right. But I’d say Jeb was more likely to do it because the wife Colomba told him to do it. Seems she is the boss. Jeb even prefers to speak Spanish at home.

Boy, they don’t like it when we question their patriotism, but they sure don’t hesitate to question our religion in every way possible.

It’s nice to have the MSM carrying your water, that’s for sure.

going Catholic in a state and a country where Catholicism is only a minority religion....(only about 25% in both places)...

now THAT’s not an Obvious Success Strategy for a politician

not at all. Sounds like Jeb needs now campaign advisors, or the newspaper needs new editors.

ps: We’ve had only ONE Roman Catholic President, he barely got elected ... and then he got shot.

He can go ahead and be Catholic if he wants, what I have a problem with is the fact that he seems to lack his own identity so he seems to be taking on his wife’s instead, and for some reason wants to run the country.

The only time we see Imam Obama in a church is for the optics. ...church is not part of their family routine.

And who in the hell has to be reminded they are not a muslim but a Christian?
