Well, no call to “come lets talk at the store” for me or my former co-worker yesterday...so no interview and still no job. We’ll see when we do get calls...they were (possible employers) going their to plan renovations, so our working theories go from “WAAY more work needed than anticipated” (ran out of time reason for not calling) to “WAAAY more work than discussed when I signed the lease...lets rip that paperwork up.” The “reason”’we don’t want to discuss “who wants to hire two fifty-something’s.”

Sigh.

So I wonder too if today is that LAST day of the internets as we know them.

Sounds like your potential employers may have a lot going on and hence the delay in interviewing you. Hopefully they’ll get their act together soon, and good luck to both you and your co-worker.

with people like Jim and Rose gone ... (and I suspected this the day it happened), and a perusal of the conservative talk show line-up ... I can't help but think the effort to stifle our communicatING (intentional caps) was already in the works

I'm not sure WHAT the net neutrality is supposed to accomplish except to put more control on something that should be left alone
