Ft. Lauderdale, FL– A video uploaded to YouTube on Sunday shows Fort Lauderdale police officer Victor Ramirez harassing and assaulting an elderly gentleman at the Broward Bus Terminal in downtown Fort Lauderdale. The man is not being aggressive or threatening in any way when he is shoved to the ground and slapped by the officer. The man was reportedly trying to use the bus terminal’s restroom.

“The guy didn’t raise his hand to the officer at all,” a witness told Local 10 News. “The officer just knocked him down with his hands. The guy was defenseless.”

...then said he was going to go 'pee' (in the bushes)...

That must have been in the other video, the secret one that only you watched.

Or you just invented it, like many of those who worship The Blue Power do.

Quit changing the subject.

You wrote earlier: "...BUT, the guy was trying to grab him, and the officer said “Don’t touch me”.

I merely pointed out the officer touched the guy FIRST, twice, which is assault and battery.

AND, it was premeditated, as the orrificer was gloving up before the assault.

I didn't say anything about "over the line". Just pointed out that Officer Offended started the shoit.

Which means you avoided the question.

And I must have missed your answer to the same question...

And they will be the ones turning us in, betraying us, pretending to be conservative. Note some on this very thread.

He didn’t try to grab the officer. He tried to wrest his arm out of the cop’s grip and pushed at his arm, which had grabbed him. The cop had no right to grab the old man’s arm and manhandle him. You’re right the cop slapped the old man when he was already sitting, but FOR WHAT?? It’s not against the law to resist a cop’s domineering, aggressive attitude. And you know what? Even IF he was going to pee in the bushes, the cop can’t arrest him, or isn’t supposed to manhandle him, if he hasn’t committed a crime yet.

That cop was way over the line and you’d be whining your head off if you or yours got treated that way.

I’m just coming back here and seeing this but I have to say. We just didn’t understand, but UCANSEE2 has this special insight that can see not only what we don’t see, but what isn’t even there.

Maybe this one was hiding in the bushes by the cop????

...The whole incident was recorded by the dashboard camera on the Highways officers.

In the footage the armed officers can be heard shouting over one another as they fire multiple commands at a bemused Mr Bruins...

He's lucky he didn't get Erik Scotted...

You and me both know that these two individuals can consider themselves very fortunate that the king's men did not fill them full of lead, confiscate the car, sell it and split the proceeds. In fact, I would consider it Divine Intervention that they are alive today.

I small bit of training to officers with an average IQ should stop this problem.

Why does it persist?

Yep - I'm generally pro-cop because of the hazards of the job, but I can't figure those who tend to always side with the cop, no matter how bad the deed, just because they believe that the perp "had it coming".

They will someday understand Trey Gowdy's statement about how someday, folks will be crying for they rule of law to be followed properly...

I guess the cops will get to plea, "oopsie" and be let off with a for-show verbal reprimand.
