Birdcrap!
Transformer wasn’t nominated for Best Picture.
Post 300
Penn fumbled, paused and said quote “ who gave this son of a bitch a green card” then said Birdman
Wow
Got to remember that, had Clint Eastwood had gotten the BD nomination, AS would have had a chance. When Mr. Eastwood was snubbed the movie had no chance. Remember you have to have for the BD to be able to win BP. That is an unwritten rule in the Oscars.
Driving Miss Daisy won Best Picture without a Director nomination. That’s the last time I think.
I was hoping my favorite actor Michael Keaton would have won BA, oh well.
>The highest grossing film of 2014 was Transformers: Age of Extinction. <
Actually “Hunger Games”.

Not sure I can name what else shes been in.
I think most remember Moore from the 1993 film Short Cuts where she did an entire 15 minute scene nude from the waist down.
And, yes, the carpet matched the drapes.
the point is that box office isn’t the number one priority with the Oscars. Sometimes the winning films are populist (Forrest Gump, Titanic, Return of the King) most times they are not.
It did? Amazing.
I was going by Wikipdedia so it’s one of them.
Billy Crystal joked about it during the ceremony as the film that directed itself.
I was pulling for cooper.
The only dissapointment was that my favorite actor Michael Keaton did not win.
What a rip off.
The winning post of the thread! LOL! :)
I understand was just comparing the two that were actually competing with each other in the Best Picture category.
Enjoy the debate. Nighters! :)
Well I was hoping that maybe just maybe American Sniper would win, even though the odds were against them..I thought maybe their chances improved when they did win that one award tonight(I forgot for what category)
Best line of the night —> Neil Patrick Harris says, “The subject of this film (Edward Snowden) is not here tonight, for some treason.”
