Difference is that the Ukrainians had a choice, the Jews didn't.
Thousands of Jews were permitted to leave Russia for Israel, Hitler would have had them starved and then gassed. Big difference.
Putin was elected by the whole country, Stalin was selected by the communist party, ~5% of the country. Big difference.
