Putin is a thug to be sure. But he actually does grasp the concept of national interests which Zero clearly does not. I also think some people on here need to be reminded that he is NOT the president of the United States. He is the president of Russia. His job is to look out for and protect Russian national interests. And yes, there will be times when those interests diverge from our own. But I would certainly say that he has a clearer grasp of the immediate threats facing the West than our spineless wonder. Islamo-Facism, Radical secularism, and moral relativism to name just a few. Is he an enlightened liberal? Ummm no. And he doesn’t say “please” when addressing Islamic thugs either. But when has Russia ever been successfully run by a democratic government? Russia is a different geo-political animal than America with a vastly different history and culture. Unlike some on here, there is no way I’d every vote for this guy as our President. But I do respect him as the leader of Russia, warts and all.
