I agree. Putin and his fans do not care about Western conservative values. He doesn't value the rule of law. He doesn't value separation of powers. He doesn't value a free press. He doesn't value an independent judiciary. He doesn't value a free press, freedom of speech, freedom of religion or freedom of assembly. His supporters on FReeRepublic takes consolation in the fact that he's a putative nationalist and a nominal christian despite his many years a communist and 17 years as KGB man. I don't get it.
I realize that they're right on one thing. He's not Obama. Who is? Why would you worship or cheer for an anti-American president for life unless you disdain the USA?
