Steak. Brie. Baked chicken breast. Shrimp. Salmon. Would the school lunches pre-Obama have compared well against foreign lunches? I highly doubt it.

Not the pre-usurper lunches but back in my day they would. It did no good to teach us right before lunch because the smell of fresh homemade yeast rolls and big homemade peanut butter cookies would waft down the hallways. Our public school lunch ladies used very little prepackaged stuff and our meat was real meat like real fried chicken with real bones and skin.

I listened to a radio program awhile back that discussed lunches that French kids ate. The participants said the French think their children deserve good food in a pleasant environment and enough time to eat it.
