Colt Diamondback .22, on sale right here, right now:

http://www.yankeeartifacts.com/Colt%20Handguns.htm

This is far and away the best .22 revolver available anywhere.

(I am not related to owner and get no premium or other cash reward from sale.)

Holy crap that’s pricey! I bought a nice, slightly used 4” blue Diamondback in .22lr back in the early 90’s for $260. When I shot it, I remembered why I don’t care for .22 revolvers, the RG single-action from the mid 70’s only held 6 as well. Not enough shots for plinking! Also had a .38 DB in nickel [’94, $300] and a cherry Detective Special 2nd model .38 [$300, mid 90’s], bought a DS used at the gun shop I worked at in the mid-70’s used for $60. Got a new Colt .22 conversion unit there for my Government Model for $70, new. Now if you’ll excuse me, from seeing today’s prices, I have to go have a memorial cry... ;)
