Polka party. Brings fond memories of family reunions we held when I was a kid. Still love the oompah today.
Some of the albums I listen to all the time that never get old.
Hums of the Lovin’ Spoonful
Surrealistic Pillow by Jefferson Airplaine
Mad Man Across the Water by Elton John
My Aim is True, This Year’s Model and Armed Forces by Elvis Costello
Machine Head by Deep Purple
Blood on the Tracks and Desire by Bob Dylan
Just to name a few.
Burl Ives. Roger Miller.
So...imagine after that, for a 5 year old, everything is Disneyland this and Disneyland that.
Well I had gotten this record, while there.

Now I need to go look to see if I still have that album.
Mostly albums...
Bob Dylan
Highway 61 Revisited
Blonde on Blonde
The Beatles
Rubber Soul
Revolver
Rolling Stones
Our of Our Heads
December’s Children (the first record I ever bought with my own money)
Ode to Joy
I grew up listening to my parent’s copies of “Songs by Tom Lehrer” and Dave Brubeck’s “Time Out featuring Take Five.” I don’t have the Tom Lehrer album, but I definitely have copies of Brubeck.
I heard this on some TV program when I was about five years old and I was captivated. Okay, I was a weird kid but I love it to this day.

I was absolutely nuts for this song as a little kid. It doesn’t do much for me anymore, though. I mention it because nobody else will.

The Battle of New Orleans.
Wake Up Little Susie.
Kingston Trio songs by the original three
Puff the Magic Dragon. Of course I had no idea what they were singing about.
You Are My Sunshine
Tennessee Waltz
Theme from “The Apartment”
Bridge Over Troubled Water
Hello by Lionel Richie
Hello Again by Neil Diamond
I Can’t Help Falling in Love With You by Elvis Presley
Innocent Man by Billy Joel
The Lion Sleeps Tonight
How Great Thou Art
