“With Medicare mandating that bone density test be done every 2 yrs, it ties the doctors hands in the way they treat for OP.”

==

I’m on Medicare and was unaware of this mandate.Is this something new?

2013 was when the Bone density testing, PSA’s went to every 2 yrs. Last year nerve blocks were reduced to 3 per year. Their excuse the steroids cause bone density issues.

More changes are coming this year to Medicare. And to Tricare. Look at the book Medicare sends you for the changes.

They best be more aware that all those PPI’s Nexium etc they just dumped OTC cause the same issue Bone Density.

I’ve been on them 30 yrs and NOT 1 warning they cause bone density. No attempt to ween me off them. Now I have OP at -4 and can’t take even 1 of their da*n side effect riddled FDA warning drugs. 2 of them Reclast and Boniva are in your system for LIFE. And can and do cause death and other pain horror stories. All come with GI issues.

So I am looking at a double hip replacement before I fracture 1 or both hips from falls. I have Meneire’s and falls are a routine thing in my life.
