I just saw that movie again with my wife two months ago, and I loved it. I had told her of this very scary movie I saw as a child (Sunday afternoon item) and finally identified it as “Quatarmass and the Pit.” Found the whole movie on Youtube.
It great to see another who knows about it.

Sadly it is very hard to get on DVD. The Region 2 version is only $15, but the Region 1 version is $75 used and $79 new.
