There is a lot of weirdness in this world. For example, the Nation of Islam often sound like out and out conservatives on lots of things.

They are, at least with regards to their fellow black people. Even if they are misguided in their black supremism, they want their people to be strong, and what we call "conservative ideals" are exactly the sort of thing that will make a culture strong: self-reliance, moral restraint, chemical-free living, etc. If they weren't so hell bent on killing whitey and worshiping a moon god, they'd actually be somewhat beneficial.

Had an interesting experience 2 yrs ago. Stayed at a motel on I65 near Montgomery, Alabama on my way to Florida.
Calypso Louie was giving a speech nearby and a the motel was basically full of NoI people coming to see him.
These folks were dressed like the 1950s Sunday crowd and their kids were perfectly behaved.
