Mattels new View-Master, which launched on Friday, will debut this fall for $29.99. The View-Master uses Google's virtual reality cardboard technology and it works with various smartphones; users must slide in their mobile device, and pair it with a corresponding app.
I held the View-Master (there are no straps) in my hands and moved my head from side to side to see different scenes as if I was actually there. Hmmm. Maybe my LG G3 screen resolution will really matter with this thing.
wasn’t Henry Fonda a spokesperson for the View Master? or did i dream that?
I still have my original View-Master from the 60’s, and a bunch of discs. It still works great. I love that thing!

good catch! that is Peter Brady--rather, Christopher Knight...
I have a view master (inherited from my father 30 years ago) and a set of discs that were used during WWII to teach aircraft identification and range estimation.
