Gee, it’s just a coincidence that the disaster is a generation away and there’s just enough time to confiscate everyone’s wealth and enact totalitarianism to save us!
Oxymoron of the day!
There are some positives though, some of those solar projects may become somewhat cost effective due to the lack of cloud cover so one does see a silver lining in the absence of rain clouds, eh?
If you care to take a run down to Chile (that would be to the south), take a good look at a place called the Atacama Desert. It lies east of the coastal mountains there which block moisture too. In fact, there are years that go by with no rain whatsoever.
So, power up the desalination plants, perhaps using solar power to do so.
.....or not.
Let’s see, the drought in the IMPERIAL VALLEY, California was caused by........When the EPA declared that the minnow in the Sacramento river was more important than the the whole population of the Imperial valley. Also, instead of building de-salinating plants in the Pacific ocean side, they spent the money on speed trains going no where. Also, the way we took care of the drought that happened in the 30’s, by building dams, and supplied the water to the parched land. AS of today, according to these “GLOBAL WARMING” idiots, the building of dams is forbidden. Is there any doubt that these people are trying to destroy everything we hold dear in this country.

The current “drought” is just one more crisis the left can use to socially engineer our society.
They have no interest in solving any problems, only to control.

Wet or dry, they're covered.
Seth Borenstein is a rabid, drooling communist. Even the climate change crowd avoids him. He does write some hilarious columns tho : )

Drought frequency in central California since 101 B.C. recorded in giant sequoia tree rings
***the worst in more than 1,000 years ***
But, I read the drought that drove the Anazazi out of Chaco Canyon and Mesa Verde lasted twenty five years, around 1245AD!
Must have been all those power plants and SUVs.
A geologist noted a long time ago that California has had a bunch of 100 and 300 year long droughts, long before people were there.
Quick! What’s the forecast for next Wednesday?
Yeah, exactly....
