Pope Francis, who presumably has not been woken up at 4 a.m. on a workday by the howls of a tiny human who wants to be fed and/or changed, says that couples who dont want to have kids are selfish and are part of a greedy generation.
Pope Francis told an audience in St Peters Square, Rome Wednesday that its a depressed society that considers children to be a burden.
A society with a greedy generation, that doesnt want to surround itself with children, that considers them above all worrisome, a weight, a risk, is a depressed society, he said.
The choice to not have children is selfish. Life rejuvenates and acquires energy when it multiplies: It is enriched, not impoverished.
Pope Francis said there was a strong correlation between hope in society and inter-generational harmony.

Take back the public schools. Take back the culture.
If you opt out of living in American society, why live in America at all?
I am unmarried and don’t want kids. Never have wanted them. Sorry Pope.
I don’t really know of some place in the world in a better state that I can emigrate to, or I probably would. Most of the world seems to have already slid down this road before us, so there isn’t anywhere left to run to.
“This guy knows more about any issue and how you think than you have ever learned, imagined, or joked about.”
Really? A lifelong celibate knows more about the intimate details of marriage and child rearing than those who actually have lived through the experiences?
I’d buy that argument concerning Jesus, as he could claim divine knowledge. I’m not buying it concerning a mere man.
That’s kind of what I noticed. The Amish live off the grid for the most part and seek a religious exemption from some of the government’s overreach (like Obamacare).
If the culture isn’t taken back from the red diaper doper babies of the 60s (and those entrusted to them), the nation will be (as Barry Obama hopes) forever fundamentally changed (looking every bit as much as what they’ve pushed for since the 1968 Revolution)
how many children does the pope have..He certainly has a large home..Since he has raised NONE he’s talking out of his hat. Having more children than on can afford to feed, cloth, and care for, he needs to rethink his opinion..To call poor people greedy because they cannot afford a large family and are respondiblely not bringing them into the world perhaps this pope is name calling people without knowing them....
