Psalm 104:15And wine which makes man’s heart glad, So that he may make his face glisten with oil, And food which sustains man’s heart.
It is true that there was bad water back “then”; though they had no concept of germ theory, folks could make the connections between bad water sources and disease. Yet Psalms 104 indicate that God had allowed wine to provide some solace for the troubles men go thru. He hated drunkenness and other places in scripture indicate that! Paul told Timothy to drink no more water but wine for the cure of the “infirmities of the stomach”.
Hence my position on alcohol!
