Before Roe v Wade they supported abortion for the first 100 days, but by 1974 they had gotten up to full libertarian speed, and have supported full term abortion, ever since.

Too many - and now the majority of current “Libertarians’, IMO - are actually “Libertines”.

If something gets in the way of their destructive (self and otherwise) pleasures, they want to remove laws and replace them with lawsuits. And who’s going to act as a lawyer for the unwelcome in the womb, after the damage has been done?

This is too bad, because I have some attraction to some of the tenants of old-school libertarianism.

Obviously libertarians should be pro-life. It’s the ultimate expression of respect for the individual. My guess is that 99% of libertarians on FR are pro-life. The right wing of libertarianism is virtually indistinguishable from conservatism. The region where they intersect is probably best called classical liberalism.

Libertarians have never fool me. They are NOT Conservative in any sense of the word. They love to play into Conservative people and Conservative groups, but they play a dirty game of crushing Conservative principles except for the very few places their view happen to be close to those of Conservative people.

And anyone who would approve killing a baby is, in my opinion, simply pure trash who approve of murder.

Based on the libertarian’s argument (in this article), would he concede to being FOR a ban on abortion after 8 weeks? Or at least prohibiting late term abortions (except in extremely dire circumstances)?

Libertarians are like the lukewarm who are spit out of the mouth of God who will rule the world with a rod of iron, the only way to bring the peace on earth promised at His birth.

I wish I could get a recording of someone spitting and post it.

"Narveson claimed abortion only involves a mother’s right not to have a child, while I argued abortion violates the non-aggression principle (NAP) by killing babies."

This is where the abortion argument should be focused on. It should never be focused on a religious aspect. It's a question of whether the unborn is alive or not. If I believed that the baby was not alive, then I would agree with the abortionists and say that it is up to the mother to decide and the government should not have anything to do with it. However, I believe the evidence is overwhelming that the baby is alive, therefore the government has an obligation to protect that human life. Just as the government does for those of us outside the womb.
