MALIBU, Calif. — Gender-bender reality-TV star Bruce Jenner rear-ended a car Saturday, causing an accident that killed a woman motorist.
Seven other people were injured in the accident, which happened shortly after noon on the Pacific Coast Highway near its intersection with Corral Canyon Road.
Jenner’s dark blue Cadillac Escalade was towing a dune buggy in a trailer when he rear-ended a white Lexus sedan being driven by an elderly woman.

The picture in post #82, the overhead shot, shows a very wet road surface. That could not have helped anyone in the accident. In some of the photos his posture and head angle indicates looking at his phone.
One thing is for sure, there are swarms of people following him. If they had been working together to get a pic of him by one of them suddenly stopping that would be criminal. But, many of the shots are using a very fast shutter speed so if someone was just standing on the opposite side of the street and just “clicking” away you would get these very clear images.
Lastly, I’d bet more than a few dollars that some of the people taking pictures have held back any images they could make a lot of money on. If there are videos that would be even more valuable to the lower of IQ that give a sh*t those will be out shortly.

Besides having my very first car accident very close to this one onthe PCH over 40 years ago when I was about 15 1/2. :)
I also was in a 5 car pile up on the 10 just before downtown LA.
I think the thing about rear ending someone is more nuanced. As I went to my deposition with mynattorney, she explained that they look for if your, yourself, were rearended thereby pusinging you into the carvahead of you.
I don,t think this scenario applies to this sccident though.
I whould have to agree that he has no excuse for rear eanding her.
This happens every day of the week on the Freeways here during rush hour. Going 65-75 then all the sudden the crush of traffic at a standstill or going at a crawl and someone smashes into the back of the last stopped (or slowing car).

At the time of the accident it was dry and sunny in LA ... But, as usual, the marine layer covered Malibu and it was foggy and dark.
No, it was the yuppie version.
Even the H2 runs about 8000 gvw so try and avoid any head-ons with them...
Ah, I didn’t think of that, but you are right. I still see people doing the flick of the ashes out the window.
ABS brakes do leave marks. They tend to be faint, but show up dramatically well on white road paint.

It’s amazing some people drive all their lives, and still have no clue as to what is happening or what are the causes to at-fault collisions.
Most are caused by careless inattention or simply following too close. You can always tell a bad or inexperienced driver...They’ll always be the ones who follow too close and or fail to pay attention. They’re number inevitably comes up, and they almost always attempt to blame others and they lose in that attempt too.
I am here to tell ya-—nearly every time I see some moron with their head in their phone while driving it’s some yahoo, at least, over 35 years old. And it’s a pet peeve of mine, so I pay attention to it. Rarely do I see teens and younger people doing it. It’s the old farts. So, yeah, I have little problem believing this.
Thank you. Good advice. I drove my kids around in a HUGE, Dodge Van (not the minivan) with two rows of seats, a huge back cargo area, and it was all made of metal.

What I see all the time is people who are coming up on my tail refuse to back off until they are right behind me. They brake at the last possible second, as if they think that somehow that will get them to their destination sooner. They apparently think that I will somehow be able speed up, even though there is slower traffic in front of me.
Morons.
Are there any pictures of the Prius? I haven’t been able to find any. Did the Prius driver take off?
