C. difficile infection can range from mild to life-threatening. Symptoms of mild cases include watery diarrhea, three or more times a day for several days, with abdominal pain or tenderness.

Symptoms of more severe C. diff infection include:

Watery diarrhea, up to 15 times each day
Severe abdominal pain
Loss of appetite
Fever
Blood or pus in the stool
Weight loss
***************************
If she was cured of the symptoms....wouldn’t she naturally gain weight?

So instead of a blood transfusion you get a $hit transfusion. No thanks.

My Mom fought C. diff last year and was about to try a fecal transplant when her situation cleared up, so she and my siblings were paying attention to any news about the procedure. They heard that some places were paying donors about $50 for a suitable ‘donation’.

Do I at least get a free cookie if I make a donation at the Brown Cross?

Plus, environmentalists would be ecstatic because your product comes from a self-sustaining region of the earth.

Maybe that why Gay men tend not to be obese.. they are always swaping /transplanting fecal matter amongst different partners.. it may be gross but im not joking on this...

If obesity is related to the variety and types of the gut bacteria you have...

it could be leading an ultra clean anti-bacterial lifestyle it’s our issue.. we need a wider more diverse variety of bacteria in our gut... could explain the French Paradox too the joke being the French are not known for their hygiene

But this also suggest trying the reverse..
taking an obese person
kill off the gut bacteria
Then to transplant gut bacteria from a skinny person and see what happens...

I agree, but unfortunately, unless big pharma can patent the good bacteria, it will never happen.

There are some amazing success stories resulting from fecal transplants. I'm sure there is a better way to get the job done. But this does work.

Fecal transplants relieve painful colitis, may someday treat obesity

I’ve thought about it. It’s pretty intriguing information and may well lead to advancements in the treatment of a serious health issue.

But I’m STILL going to joke about it.
