>> where does Jesus talk about going on the offensive physically (hands on), not spiritually? Ive never got a straight answer.
Jesus never talks about or encourages us, His followers, to go hands on on the offensive, of our own accord.
Paul makes plain that our battle is not with flesh and blood, but with evil in the heavenly plane (Ephesians 6).
The Hebrew writer emphasizes that “Vengeance is Mine; *I* will repay” (saith the LORD).
However... John describes clearly in The Revelation how, UNDER THE DIRECT LEADERSHIP of JESUS, the triumphant KING, we who are Jesus’ followers will battle and annihilate the forces of satan.
Thought question: what physical form do you think those forces of satan will take? Could they manifest as followers of islam? That’s what I believe (with Scriptural evidence).
But triumph over islam will not occur by our own hand. Only under the leadership of our LORD.
so that any war/battle whatever you want to call it, anytime one goes on offense, its sin?
Not trying to be argumentative, but think about it for a minute. Has any war successfully been fought that was only defense?
No, at times its both.
