..,blankety-blank government
That must be in Pennsylvania.
That’s such a pretty shade of blue...
Not just gubmint. When we moved from a low-regulation state to a high-regulation state HSLDA arranged an open (but not all-participating) meeting to present their findings that regulation didn’t have any impact on home schooling. The only proponent of keeping the regulations was a person who had managed to make a bunch of money off the current system.
He even said if the high-regulation state were to lower its regulations then home schooling would become a “Statue of Liberty” for JDs.
We had been warnd that we were invited to listen but not participate, but I wanted to say, “What parent WANTS their kid to be a JD? And if there were such a parent, why would he go to the trouble of home schooling when the government propaganda machine did such a good job of churning out JDs without nearly so much parental effort?”
One woman did opine to me that she was concerned about the HS Diploma issue. I asked her when was the last time she ever had to show anyone her HS diploma. She couldn’t think of a time.
It’s not the gubmit, it’s the stupid sheeple.
