Hokie. It looks like HP puts a HP Reovery Manager application on your harddrive. When you open that, one of the options should be Factory Reset. So, if all else fails you can do that, nuke all the work you’ve done to this point, and start over without any junk installed.

If that bad boy can’t print or open your external drive after you’ve done that, it’s not a laptop, it’s a doorstop.

And you can tell it I said so.

How do I open Recovery Manager? If I can get to that and open the Factory Reset, it will be cool, because I can’t save anything on this POS because it won’t be saved on my 3TB or printed out. Therefore, it is useless.

And I will order the Linux for Dummies that I found on Amazon and to heck with Aaron’s. If I’m buying it, it needs to work for ME, the way I WANT it to.
