"I’m still trying to find something to keep my mind occupied." Are you still interested in knitting/crocheting? I've always thought that was a calming activity, as long as you don't have cats.

I still do the knitting and crocheting, but when I’m upset, I make a lot of mistakes, and that’s discouraging, as I have to rip out the offending rows and do them over. Much harder in knitting than in crocheting.
