I thought I was almost finished with a post to you, and I hit something and lost the whole thing. I get so discouraged when that happens.
Yesterday, I was on the tech line with the folks at Total Defense and they uninstalled the program in about 40 minutes. I then went on to add Avast!, AdAware and Ghostery and I’m hoping between them and the MS firewall this computer will last me longer than the old one did, which was only 10 months. GAH!!
I need to access the Slave and find a shortcut for it so I can transfer the stuff I’m doing here.
I got the paperwork done, and will head for DMV with some of it as soon as I have the $35 for the new plates. I believe that is a one-time fee, including something for gas particulates, and that the yearly registration will be less that $20 a year, no smog test required. If the BB SUV is accepted for that type of registration, I should be able to drive without stressing for several years. Until I’ve lost the need for the vehicle, anyway.
In other news, we are looking at 95 degrees today. My A/C turned on for the first time in six weeks, yesterday afternoon, and was running periodically until about 2200. At least the apartment behind me is empty. It’s nice not to have to use air fresheners to eat the odor of cigarette smoke. :o]
Way cool. I can't see temperatures myself. Do they look like colors or something? The thermometer says it's 82 here - which I know by reading a Web page not by actually asking the thermometer myself. But it looks pretty much the same outside as it did when it was 40.
It would be so cool to see temperatures.
