From past experience, Darks, my only comment is this: Prayers for Jack’s healing, and for you, forgive. The best thing about the latter is that wonderful things happen when you forgive wrongdoers, but you need to do it in sincerity.
I can’t live with the darkness of harboring anger or ill will towards anyone, so I have learned to forgive everyone for everything, often before they have even wronged me. It works wonders.
As an aside for the news of Jack’s injuries, he will grow to be glad he is not a girl...he doesn’t have to re-learn how to apply lipstick. I say that from experience. After the car accident that nearly took my life, I had 52 stitches from my upper lip to the bridge of my nose and onto both eyelids.
The bridge of my nose is still numb, so that when I drink anything from a glass, I learned to tip my head back because I couldn’t feel when the glass had hit my nose. It was almost three years before I could bring my upper lip down to smooth out the lipstick, rather that than bring my bottom lip up.
Little things that folks take for granted, but I am grateful that I am still alive to make fun of what I had to go through in the healing processes. Small comfort for Jack’s parents, of course, but bless his little heart, he will learn to adapt. <3
Humphrey Bogart had a paralyzed upper lip due to an injury.
Hopefully Jack won’t have too much trouble.
