I don't necessarily have a poem ready for every circumstance. I can also whip them up on the fly. But in this instance:

The Herding of Cats

The herding of cats is a challenge,
As anyone might expect.
Keeping them fenced is one thing,
But they’re just as hard to collect.

Then once you get them moving,
They’re wont to wander off,
And most anything will spook them,
They’ll think it’s a Zot when you cough.

You have to keep them channeled,
And focused on moving along,
The thinning of herds in migration,
Means the herdsman is doing it wrong.

Just because they separate,
And lope off on their own little tack,
You can’t make the claim they were never yours,
It makes you seem loose with a fact.

They like to think they’re all leaders,
So just let each one have his say,
Follow along ‘til they go where you want,
Just as if you had planned it that way.
