That’s gotta be tough on the kid (can’t recall his name). It’s bad enough that everyone will wonder if he got in because of affirmative action. Now they’ll also wonder if he got in because he’s connected.
I have no idea how smart he is. He could be brilliant. But the cloud will be there, especially if he’s average for a Yalie.
I finally figured out a way to reduce the wealth inequality in the United States without punishing the rich or implementing some kind of redistribution scheme.
Every time there’s a protest like the ones in Baltimore or the Occupy protests let’s just deport the protesters.
The remaining people could get to work building their wealth and catching up.
Would that work?
I’ve seen a few Ivy legacies do poorly myself, they did average work at Ivy but might have been stellar at a smaller school.
