Good morning! Gunner Anoreth will be here for a week, she says. Also the Dog. The dog has already decided I’m not worth barking at, maybe because I took her for about 2 hours of walks yesterday. She likes walks.
Shannon, the calico, spent all day yesterday in her bed in the window of my room. I picked her up before I went to bed and put her in the room with the food and box. Jake, the brown tabby, was put out around 7:00 yesterday morning and was at the back door when I came down at 6:30 today. I was mildly anxious about him, but the boys said he was hanging around the garage yesterday afternoon when they were playing. I put him in the sunroom with the food, and I expect he’ll turn up in a bed later.
He prefers Elen’s bed, but she took most of her bedding with her to camp this weekend. She’s training for her summer job at Camp Boddie at Pamlico Sound. DP and Tom are down there, too. She’ll be teaching Ecology and Conservation again, although she’s also a lifeguard now, which will increase her utility. Tom will be working Waterfront at Camp Grimes, up in the mountains, but he doesn’t have training until Staff Week in June.
Anoreth has orders to Seattle. She hasn’t said what post, exactly, or when she’s going. She took Bill out last night to celebrate his 21st birthday, which was last Monday. I expected to hear Dog bark when they came in, but I guess I was sleeping heavily after all the walks.
I’ll have to get the younger kids up soon, if they don’t arrive on their own. Sally needs to go and feed the guinea pigs, since Elen’s away, and we have to lock up the people’s house. They’re supposed to be home today. (If not, we can break in again. The neighbors expect us.)
And that, folks, is how you spend a week in a day.
I hung some clothes out to dry.
Not even worth mentioning what I did from 1830 last night to Oh-Dark-Thirty this morning. Boring and mundane when compared with other morning posts. Maybe I need a coffee...
I hate when I don’t sleep as it makes me feel slightly at the ready for implosion.
