Poor Sparkle, not that it isn’t her own fault. It doesn’t help to tell catz that it’s their own fault.
I felt really bad for Sparkle and asked her why she didn’t call me when she saw she was stuck. The pupils in her eye got HUGH and the hair on the back went up, and I got a “MROARRR!” for an answer. She doesn’t like my humor, I guess....
I fixed it so she can’t do it again, but one would think she would learn something from an experience like that and not repeat it. I somehow don’t think her memory retention is good, except for hands that hit. THAT lesson she has REALLY learned.
She still shies if my hands come directly towards her, but if she sees them from either quarter, she is accepting. That must have been a NASTY experience for her, before she was dumped at the vet’s office, but she won’t have to go through it again.
She’s still a little subdued from her experience of last night.
Busdaddy just called. His stepdaughter called him a bit ago and said her mother (his first wife,) who was in hospice, is not expected to last the day. All her kids and her sister are there, and he will go to be with them.
That is so sad. I guess she has really suffered with her cancer for quite a few years. I feel bad for the entire family, but there isn’t much I can do but be supportive of Busdaddy and his grief...
I “knew” she was fading fast, but I couldn’t very well tell him.
‘Face is sad today...
