Good point.
I’m back from CA, but we didn’t get the engine. There was a problem with the oil pan and that needs to be fixed before Busdaddy can race it.
However, it now runs on regular gas instead of the $15 a gallon racing gas. The HP went from 951 to 822, and that last figure was achieved with street gas! WOO-HOO!
We have to go back next week to get the engine, as the repairs will be done by then. However, we will NOT go on Friday!!! CA drivers are the extremely WORST drivers I’ve ever seen! Even in Pak, at least the drivers were courteous! It took us 20 minutes to go about 1/2 mile to pick up a freeway that would take us to the I-15 20 miles later, and those 20 miles took us about 70 minutes.
I-15 wasn’t as bad, but it still took us a total of almost six hours to get home.
Busdaddy found a dentist who would help him (he had been there before, and they still had his file) and he was given pain pills and antibiotics on Thursday night. He was so much better yesterday, it was like he was a different man. I was relieved.
At one point, close the the CA/NV state line, the lanes opened up and he made up for time by doing 100 mph for about five miles. :o])
Anyway, I’m home with clean laundry and no food to speak of, so I’m sure to lose some weight this weekend!
