Nearby frozen pond had about thirty mallards stopping by. They were waddling around the last little bit of open water. Every now and again about eight or nine would take off, do a circle or two around the pond and then come in for a landing skidding for about twenty foot with wings out and quacking. This was repeated the for the two hours I was there.
They had to being doing this for fun.
One guy kept plowing into the on deck crowd, coming in nice, full air brake wings out, head up and back, landing gear down, start the slide but after a few feet went wobbly plowing into the crowd. Kind of like John McCain.,
I’d have been tempted to play the intro to The 6 Million Dollar Man for that duck.
