I just re-joined FR and I would like to post to my local NC state board but I am not able to. How do I get the ability to do that?

Actually, I thought it was punny.

I went to Weight Watchers. No change from two weeks ago, which isn’t bad, considering. Now I’m taking a break from running the vacuum, but I need to get it done so the kids can have lunch.

It seems like all I do is cook and wash and sweep and laundry.

Since I can’t print my budget for June, I have to write it out manually. Then the grocery list.

I will change the OS as soon as I can understand what Linux is like. Dead Corpse is no longer here, so I can’t ask him for insight.

I was going to unpack some books today, but I just didn’t have the heart. I went to Auto Zone and got new wiper blades; the old ones were worse than I thought, but they have been on the truck for almost three years, so it’s way past time to change them.

Since my birthday, I put on seven pounds, so now I have to work at getting rid of it all. I will walk again in the morning.

I checked and the farthest back I can restore is May 21, which is the day I installed the anti-virus ware, and I don’t know if it would restore before I installed it or after, so I don’t want to touch it.

I will call Aaron’s and see if they have a recovery disc.

I think you should have been pinged to this comment on the Word For The Day thread today.

Probably an oversight.

Tax-chick opines there frequently.

It reminds me of the old Reader’s Digest “It Pays To Increase Your Word Power”. But the words they use on WFTD I never saw in Reader’s Digest.

More like I opine there occasionally. Today's word is completely new to me. Fleer. It seems to mean the same as the Spanish carcajar.

I used to love that part of RD, and gleaned so much from each issue.

Today, however, FR gives me so much more than RD ever did, and I appreciate that because I’m an information junkie!

To laugh loudly in a rude and disrespectful way.

And if your laugh is in a word-balloon, that balloon may be made of bubble-gum.

Fleer is a famous name from my childhood. Dubble-Bubble bubble gum baseball and football cards.

Original formula, circa 1906, was called Blibber-Blubber. Wiki says except for bubble blowing it was “vastly inferior” to regular chewing gum. Reformulated and colored pink and marketed as Dubble-Bubble it became a success.

I always thought bubble gum was too sweet, though I know someone who loves the stuff.

As a kid, I liked Squirt soft drink, and as an adult, I still don’t like sweet drinks. If I had a mixed drink it was a screwdriver or something else sour.

My brother collected baseball cards, but my mother disapproved of gum. (So do I!)
