Someone sent me some money for my birthday/Mom’s Day and something else, so I bought some Cuban coffee (espresso grind) and some chocolate creamer and I’m good to go.

I logged in 12 hours of sleep, but I was still tired when I got out of bed.

The Overseer of the Help Agency that sends me aides whenever they feel like it, read me the Riot Act about being “more flexible” when it comes to low-paid helpers. Ehhhh? (Tim Taylor voice)

I asked him if he knew anything about CFIDS, and he said he didn’t. He thinks I should allow someone to come at 1430 on Saturdays. I will send him a copy of the CFIDS protocol and see what he does. Nothing, probably. List me as a “Problem Client” most likely and refuse service. GAH!!!

I loathe stupidity.

It sounds as though the Help Agency is more interested in helping the aides than in helping the residents. After all, they have to protect their phony-baloney jobs, don't they?

Needless to say, I wasn’t happy. He kept whining about how these people were in low-paid jobs, and I almost said, “At least they HAVE jobs!” I bit my tongue a lot in that phone call, and was really unimpressed with his entire conversation.

I will send him a copy of the CFIDS protocol, as well as send one to the manager of the agency that they are using for their aide pool. I need to stop this before I go into a relapse, which is the worst thing I can think of for the duration.

This last year has been a good year, as CFIDS goes, and I had more good days than bad ones. I don’t want to relapse over anything, but I have no control over that. And that’s something they don’t know. So I’m praying for stability in my demeanor... And an abeyance of the relapse.

It didn’t say, but I’m willing to try a shot a day, for scientific purposes, of course, while I’m still trying to lose weight!

I had some Cub Scout leader training this morning. In a few minutes, I’ll be taking Sally, Pat, and James - and an additional boy we’ll pick up on the way - to “Junior Staff Interviews” for day camp. Pat and James are too young to be real Junior Staff, but the director said that extraneous young persons can be assistant bathroom cleaners and errand-runners if their parents are working at the camp.
