I just re-joined FR and I would like to post to my local NC state board but I am not able to. How do I get the ability to do that?
The book looks wonderful.
Moose, how are the elections going?.
You can always write in Larry if you want. I think he would make a great PM.
I wonder if anyone writes in the names Francis Urquhart, or James Hacker.
Poor Fred. Poor sad kitteh
Sparkle is a multitalented kitty.
Tires are fine. Got new windshield wipers too. Car is not garaged, so I have to get windshield wipers every year.
I had the tires for nine years.
I’m just so drained. Hard to explain. Bought a Mother’s Day card and present for my mom.. Yay!
That reminds me, I need a new wiper blade for the back window of the RX-7.
The Poles close at 22:00h tonight, so there are no early indications until the 'Tweed Army' start to release the results.
If it was possible to do a write-in it would be Nigel Farage for PM with the local Tory incumbent for the local seat, but it doesn't work that way.
‘You’ Vote for your local incumbent and get the ‘baggage’ that accompanies him as his party leader.....Kamerov, in this instance.
The local council elections are at the same time, so chance for a little independent Conservative fun there! :)
Will be around later to post any interesting tit-bits as they come in. :)
So if I understand correctly, if you are a registered, say as a Tory, you must vote a straight Tory platform?, You can’t split and vote one Tory, one conservative?
Hmm, no write in?
It’s been years since I learned about Parliment, but I never learned about the elections other than seeing them on TV and in an episode of “Blackadder”
Don’t you love little errands like these?
No, not really, but it isn’t far to the auto parts store. I just need to take the old one off so I can make sure I get the correct replacement.
There are no party registration requirements, party membership is purely optional.
Even if a party member you can vote however your heart desires.(If you can look yourself in the mirror afterwards.)
One vote is all you get unfortunately. (For your local MP).
Write-in would be nice but isn't actually necessary, as anybody with £300 can stand for Parliament.
Gotcha.
300 quid to run?
Seems very inexpensive compared to across the pond.
I have my smart phone qued up for alerts from the BBC and Sky.
I don’t know how to remove them. :(
I do know how to change a tire. If love to give my car a bath. Has your daughter told you about the pollen this past week?
No, she hasn’t mentioned it.
My mother and brother are going to visit her in Cape May this weekend.
I'm not sure I do, either, but I have Bill and Tom. Also, as off-site advisors, Bob and a lot of car guys on the North Carolina board.
It should be a lovely weekend. Never been to Cape May, furthest is AC.
All those Victorsn houses and antiques stores... Sounds real nice.
Moose is that you?
I actually found an auto parts store in Queens that had one for the back window of my Escape.
Don’t ask why I have a car in NYC. I just do, that’s all.
Of all the things in a car that are aggrivating to repair (and there are a LOT even when you’re not able to repair much like me) the wiper blades have to be at the top. It should just be click and off, click and on. But, nooooooooo.
