I just re-joined FR and I would like to post to my local NC state board but I am not able to. How do I get the ability to do that?

I don’t think I’ve seen a Birman, either. Only in pictures.

If anyone at church knows of a way to help those people hit by yesterday’s earthquake let me know.
I donated to the Red Cross for the Haitian earthquake but I heard they aren’t so good
I just want to do something. Those poor people,

The Salvation Army is usually a good choice, but I don’t see anything at their site about this disaster, yet. For disasters in the US and nearby, such as Haiti, I contribute to Baptist Men’s Relief; they’re a very efficient organization.

Samaritan’s Purse, the organization that runs “Operation Christmas Child,” is doing relief in Nepal. I see that Oxfam, the English charity, is also there.

Also Catholic Relief Services.
Which of these would be most efficient, I don’t know. You could try “Charity Navigator” to see how they rate.

I like Oxfam. They score very high on the Charity Navigator.
Thank you so very very much.
I’m sorry I missed the history convo last night, but this is really important.

I had a Birman. They look like bluepoint Siamese, but have white feet. The mom cat in the pic is not a Birman, I think. Maybe part Birman, with the long hair, but the white feet are missing. Unless they’ve changed the criteria for the markings.
We had a drenching yesterday evening, so the new truck got “washed” for the second time in a few hours. When it warms up a little outside, we will wash my truck. It’s about time...

Unfortunately, the Red Cross can’t go into Muslim countries to help. They can make a donation to the Red Crescent, but the cross, of course, is a symbol of Christianity, so the organization isn’t welcome.

You’re right, that kitty doesn’t look much like a Birman. The owner must have that breed confused with another, similar one.

You ladies rock!
I just made a pot of coffee. My first cup of the day. I raise it and salute you both, and your kitties.

Here's a better view of the kitten's mom. Very Siamese-looking, except for the longer fur.
