I just re-joined FR and I would like to post to my local NC state board but I am not able to. How do I get the ability to do that?

"How did we ever survive those years???" Laughter, of course. Don't let anyone tell you to stop. If you die laughing, you win the game.

The cattle chute approach, presenting “context” of the displays is stifling.
Further discussion would be lengthy, more suitable at a casual long dinner with adult beverages, following quite a few divergent branches.
As a sidenote while taking my one and only hang gliding lesson way back when, one young lady revealed she was a scientific illustrator at the SI. As an SI fiend I was hooked. Asked what her current project was, she replied, “I’m drawing moth balls.” After some chuckles she explained not the closet variety, but actual moth wedding tackle. Regret not be able to take up her offer to go behind the scene tour.

Don't have a ping list but a few might find this interesting. Curious folk, homeschoolers, etc.
Ever wonder how sheet music is transcribed?

Okay, I’ll whistle a tune, and you type it in.
Ready? Allegro con brio, if you please.

Honestly, it never occurred to me, but that’s a very clever device.

It’s amazing to me the number of things I can’t imagine how they do, they just figured out a way to do fairly simply.

I don’t know why I connect the two in my mind, but bring up “The Devil Went Down to Georgia” brought up another flash-in-the-pan Country song that was more song than poem. I still remember hearing this song over and over and over during one summer vacaton.
‘Twas the dark of the moon on the sixth of June
In a Jimmy hauling logs
Cab-over-Pete with a reefer on
And a Kenworth pulling hogs.
We shot the line and we went for broke
‘bout a mile out of Shaky Town.
I said, “Pig Pen this here’s the Rubber Duck
And we’re about to put the hammer down. 10-4?”
Poetry like that just gets me.
Right here.

Howdy. It is official. Saw our first chipmunk of the year yesterday at my place. Others in town have seen them for a week or more.
Spring is here for us. Snow in town.....gone has been for a few weeks. All bird types are in. We even have a couple geese down at the pond this year.
We are at least 6 to 8 weeks ahead of schedule for weather.

Sprappy hing!!!
We had good weather on Saturday, which I spent at the office. Cooler on Sunday, then rain yesterday. Hopefully it will start looking up again.
I guess we’re going to get good flowers in May.

I just let Elen drive the new car. It was only slightly terrifying; we stayed out of traffic.
Jamie should be here shortly to cut my hair, very shortly..
