I still remember Dr. James Dobson talking about how much his little gerbil wanted freedom. It would dig at the side of its glass cage desperately trying to get out.
All the time unaware that the Dobsons’ dog was also longing for the gerbil to get free.
Freedom ain’t all it’s cracked up to be.

Left it lying on the cement. I noticed it when I let Shannon out about 11:00 a.m. Shannon was considering the possibility of eating it, but I had Elen take it away.
Dragonbaby tries to get out of her cage. I don’t think either of the cats would like to get in a tussle with her!

Had a pet mouse named Nibbles.
Nibbles was a rather smart mouse.
Nibbles did NOT want out under ANY circumstances, nuh-uh!

Oh ick,
Well, it’s in bunny heaven, now.
Dragonbaby is probably trying to get at the cats. Haha.

Nibbles was also a “pocket mouse”.
Would sit hidden in my shirt pocket, little nose sticking out.
“Are they gone? I want to go home now!”

This is NYC, not Bug Tussle.Wait a minute. I thought TOL lived in Bug Tussle. I didn't know that NNB was her neighbor...
Either way, you are correct about the eventual end of the annual production from the fruit trees if planted in Gotham...

For the record, Bug Tussle was actually Silver Dollar City, Mo.
The young man in the middle of this photo:

Was the blacksmith and mayor of Silver Dollar City when the Clampetts went home. So he got to be in a few episodes.
He was also my maternal grandfather.
There you go, my 15 minutes of fame.
(And, no, I never got to meet Donna Douglass.)

Of course I live in Bug Tussle!
But NNB always hides from me, so I'm not at all sure where he is at any given time. Sigh...
