I’m sure this will get ‘Monday Morning QB’d’ to death every day this week. With a timeout, they could have done so many things. Could have tried to punch it it. Don’t make it? Call the TO.

Next play, do the pass, have the QB run it in if he can, throw it, if a receiver is open, or quickly throw it away if there isn’t.

Just so many options with the amount of downs they had, short distance, and the time out. Of course, had he thrown the TD on that play, they win and come out looking like geniuses. It just is what it was. It happens.

It was head shaking watching the ESPN table condemn Carroll for not taking another timeout when he saw a matchup he didn’t like...which would be illegal. It has been years since the NFL allowed back to back timeouts. An attempt to changeout players again would have likely resulted in a delay of game penalty.

Picking on the ‘rookie who hardly plays’ is usually a good bet.
