As a former Sony fanboy, there are too many models with incomprehensible names to keep track of, and the specs are too often corner cutting where robustness matters. There is no sense of loyalty to the customer. Spec sheet points seem little more than checkboxes, rather than something that may actually matter to the customer.

All true. But the Xperia Z3 (and especially the Compact) is simply awesome. Z4 coming soon. The SONY approach to Android is the best I've seen. No stupid Samsung or LG bloatware in sight. Incredible camera and featureset.
