Outwards migration from Chicago due to taxes, regulation. Not as bad as Detroit area but just give it time.

That’s true, with Illinois’ general problems it is a disaster waiting to happen. A good plan today is to be portable.

Chicago’s economy is a lot more diversified than Detroit or Cleveland.

Not a lot of time. Illinois is 100 billion in debt. Michigan at least has a balanced budget amendment, so for the state anyway there is no debt.
