Video shows Seattle cop arresting elderly black man using golf club as cane

William Wingate had been standing on a busy Seattle street corner in July, leaning on a golf club he uses as a cane, when a police cruiser pulled up and the officer inside yelled at Wingate to “put that down.”

The resulting exchange — in which the officer claims that Wingate swung the club at her after she asked him to “shut it down” before she arrested him – was captured on the cruiser’s dashboard camera, the footage of which Seattle Police released this week as it apologized for the 2014 incident.

The response to that video prompted Seattle Police Chief Kathleen O’Toole to announce Wednesday that she was ordering a comprehensive review of the officer’s performance during Wingate’s arrest and another incident. She did not name the officer, but multiple local outlets have reported her name as Cynthia Whitlatch.

Mr Wingate, a male, is clearly guilty of gender-normative behavior based on the officer's pot-bellied, cropped-dyke-hair-do look, and no doubt suspected her of tattoos under her cop rig.

A few years in Guantánamo should straighten out Old Mr. Wingate's anti-social, politically incorrect behavior. Someone should tell this geezer reprobate, that in Seattle, talking back to a Lesbian Authority Figure can cause serious loss of self-esteem to fat, homosexual victims, even if they are uniformed and armed.

But the cops are not entirely without fault here. Do you realize that many Seattle LEO's are not Lesbians? Did you know that there is no police restroom or locker accommodation for Transgendered Officers? Did you know that Seattle still, in this day and age, employs many white male LEOs?

No wonder the streets of this city are a war zone! No Justice. No Peace. No Golf Clubs, (themselves a symbol of white male power, even if carried by an elderly Negro to help him walk.)

I believe that's a good rule of thumb, inasmuch as in most cases it's he said/she said, and you don't want to have your skull bashed in to insure your head is on straight.

There are exceptions and I believe this is a good example.

Actually, I hope he does too considering what happened. I am just saying all of this could have been avoided if he hadn't gotten unnecessarily belligerent. I live in Seattle so my tax dollars are going to have to pay for this crap the cops are doing.
