Years ago I had a friend who’s dog got hit by a car. He put the dog in his trunk and drove to the vet. The vet came out and looked at the dog and said “He’s dead.” Two weeks later my friend got a bill for $25. We all kidded him telling him we’d have pronounced the dog dead for $10.
