It was Nazism. Nazism was something straight out of Hell that occupied Germany. To be admitted to the SS, the most vicious of the Nazi organizations, a candidate was required to show proof of an act of cruelty committed against the German people. so it's not exactly fair to equate Germans with Nazism. And keep in mind that as the war was turning against him Hitler wanted the entire German people to perish alongside him. He blamed them for failing him and wanted them all to die.
This not meant as thread stealing, just that end of your comment below- nest thought was immediately in my mind.
“Hitler wanted the entire German people to perish alongside him. He blamed them for failing him and wanted them all to die. “
There is chilling realization that our ruler may want the same for us.
“..a candidate was required to show proof of an act of cruelty committed against the German people. so it’s not exactly fair to equate Germans with Nazism.”
You’re right, there must have been many Germans themselves who did not go along with Hitler and his army and were punished severely for it :( Haven’t heard about the acts of cruelty requirement. Never studied the Holocaust in depth, I must admit. Learned something new.
