YUP; I think it was about 2 years we got enough snow out of one storm to crush my barn flat. Had the power out for about 2 or 3 weeks all over Trinity county, not every where, but my lines were down from early December to January.
Good thing I had my own generator and a wood burning stove, still haven’t been able to afford to replace the barn.

We live close to the foothills. The has wind knocked our power out half a dozen times in the last two months. I am very happy that the price of gas has gone down. Some years we have spent a lot on gas. We are usually the first to go out and the last to be reconnected. I have a good set-up though; it takes only a couple of minutes to run out and start the generator up and get everything going again. We have gas heat.

My parents lost their biggest barn about ten years ago. They got about of foot of wet snow on it and some wind gusts ended up hitting it just right and blowing it over. Fortunately, they were just using it for storage and no animals or people were injured.
