I was at a restaurant this afternoon where CNN was on the TV on the wall above my table. The banner read "Historic Snowfall". I thought to myself, the dang storm hasn't even hit yet and they are calling it "historic". Doesn't history imply something occurring in the PAST? It was like they were marketing the upcoming storm. Can't they even wait until it hits before they add the "historic" modifier?

Of course, I was happy that I was in short sleeves and shorts in Florida. I've lived in the northern climes where the winter can be brutal, Wyoming, Kansas City, Maryland. Never again.

Exactly. A newspaper would record events and print them.

Today’s news asshats pretend to know events before they happen.

They need to be held accountable and ridiculed into shame.
