That she quit is not in question. That's a fact. When taken out of the context of critically related facts, as in cause and effect, you allow yourself permission to righteously blind yourself to considerable truth.

I.e., you deceive yourself and armor your conscience by only allowing yourself to handle a Cliff Notes abridged truth alone. "She quit" is all you will allow yourself to process because you need that deception to bolster your reasons to reject her.
